Two Ferrari 458 M prototypes have been spied undergoing testing ahead of a
possible debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
While the black prototype is heavily camouflaged, the yellow variant shows
the facelifted model will have a new front bumper and restyled headlights.
Similar changes occur out back as there's a new rear fascia with an
aggressive diffuser and a dual exhaust system.
The changes will be more than skin deep as the 4.5-liter V8 engine is
expected to be replaced by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that develops
approximately 666 bhp (497 kW) and 550 lb-ft (745 Nm) of torque. It will
reportedly be connected to an improved dual-clutch clutch transmission which
should easily enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4
seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (202 mph).
