進氣速度影響引擎效率的方式大概有以下幾種
1、氣門是早開晚關,也就是壓縮行程剛開始,活塞在由下往上運動的時候,進氣門
仍舊是保持開啟的狀態,這時候新鮮空氣還能不能被壓入汽缸,靠的是空氣本身
的動量跟衝量,也就是由進氣端的流速所影響。
2、進氣的流速越快,空氣進入汽缸後越能形成渦流而充分混和油氣,使燃燒完全。
3、還有一種說法,汽缸內的燃燒爆炸是靠火焰的波動,進氣速度快時空氣在進入汽
缸後仍持續流動,可以加速火焰的波動的傳遞,增加燃燒速度。
關於進氣速度的影響還有,在化油器時代,噴油量是由文式管靠流速壓差來控制,
文式管在流速太慢時會有問題。
在Sport Compact Car的Tech Articles裡有一篇文章提到:
A good cylinder head specialist tries to shape the port
to get the maximum flow with the minimal amount of
enlargement, keeping the velocity a main priority.
一個好的汽缸頭設計者會試圖用最小的氣道擴張來換取最大流量,
而保持一定的速度是最優先的考量。
