Pirelli chosen to supply Formula 1 tyres from 2011 - 一級方程式賽車 Formula One

Italian firm Pirelli has been chosen as the sole supplier of tyres to the
Formula 1 circuit from next year.

Bridgestone is pulling out at the end of the season and France's Michelin
had been in talks to replace them so the choice of Pirelli is a surprise.

Anglo-American firm, Avon, had also been in the bidding for the contract.

The F1 teams had been keen to get the situation resolved as soon as possible
because it has an impact on the designs of the 2011 cars.
