Tesla明年推100萬輛自駕計程車 年賺3萬鎂 - 價格

Musk在做投資人簡報時宣佈,Tesla將在2020年推出自駕計程車服務robotaxi,

在初期階段僅限於Model 3車款,車主只要安裝手機App就能讓自己的愛車加入百萬輛
自駕計程車賺錢大軍的一員。

Tesla初估每輛自駕計程車每年可賺3萬美元的毛利,

成本是每公里0.113美元 / 3.5元台幣。

Tesla會向車主抽成25%~30%的獲利。

Tesla would take a 25 to 30pc cut of owners' earnings from the service,
and a robotaxi operating for 11 years as part of the service would produce
gross profit of $30,000 per year, at a cost of $0.18 per mile.


Musk說再過一年後,就會有一百多萬輛車內建全自動駕駛的軟、硬體配備。

而Musk在2016年也曾經說過,Tesla會在2018年推出全自動駕駛功能,
但後來並沒有達成這項目標。


"A year from now we'll have over a million cars with full self-driving,
software, everything," Musk predicted.

Tesla has been working on a self-driving chip since 2016 and Musk had
previously forecast that cars would be fully self-driving by 2018,
a target Tesla has missed.


在2016年Tesla推出Autopilot 2.0硬體時,也聲稱HW 2.0的硬體能力就足以達成LV5
全自動駕駛。

After announcing Autopilot 2.0, Musk said that he believes Tesla could
achieve self-driving capability on the computer

“However, we still expect to achieve full self-driving capability with
safety more than twice as good as the average human driver without making
any hardware changes to HW 2.0.


◇Tesla認為不需要使用Lidar雷射雷達

雖然Audi、Waymo、Uber和Mobileeye的自駕科技都有用Lidar,但Tesla卻只用攝影機
和雷達,不靠Lidar。

Musk說「Lidar是蠢蛋在用的,那些靠Lidar的廠商註定要完蛋。」

他認為那些競爭者到最後還是會放棄Lidar。

因為Lidar價格昂貴又多餘,只要解決掉視覺問題,就不需要Lidar了。


"Lidar is a fools' errand. And anyone relying on Lidar is doomed," said Musk,
who has been vocal about the technology's limitations. Tesla vehicles rely on
cameras and radars as their vision system for self-driving.

Competitors will eventually "dump" Lidar, he said: "It's expensive and
unnecessary and once you solved vision it's worthless."


Tesla聲稱他們新晶片的性能比Nvidia的Xavier強七倍,但Ndivia出面反駁此事。

Tesla's chip was capable of seven times as many frames as Nvidia's Xavier
system, said Pete Bannon, Tesla's head of Autopilot hardware.

Nvidia said the comparison was inaccurate.


在投資人簡報結束後,美國「消費者報導」雜誌在官網發表聲明,

他們希望Tesla別把民眾當作實驗豬,自駕系統要有嚴謹透明的數據,

相關資料透明地分享給政府和消費者,並能交由獨立的第三方團體去驗證。


“But instead of treating the public like guinea pigs, Tesla must clearly
demonstrate a driving automation system that is substantially safer than what
is available today, based on rigorous evidence that is transparently shared
with regulators and consumers, and validated by independent third-parties.


星期一,Tesla收盤股價262.75美元,下跌3.85%。
