Florida allows self-driving car tests without backup drivers
It's the latest state to court autonomous driving startups

Companies that want to test their self-driving cars will have an easier time
of it in the Sunshine State. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed a
bill allowing companies to test autonomous vehicles without backup drivers.
It also lets occupants text, watch video or otherwise enjoy themselves
without running afoul of distracted driving rules. They'll need to meet
insurance requirements, but that's about as far as it goes.

那些想要測試自動駕駛車的公司們未來在陽光之州的日子更輕鬆愉快了。佛羅里
達州州長最近簽署了一項法案，允許公司在沒有備用(人類)司機的狀況下測試無
人駕駛車輛。它還允許乘客發簡訊、看影片或做其他讓他們自己感到舒服的事情

The measure takes effect July 1st.

There are already plans to test driverless cars in Florida, such as Ford's
Miami campaign. This could encourage others who want to take advantage of the
climate and looser rules, though. And right now, there are few states that
allow completely driver-free tests on their roads -- for some companies, this
might be the best (or only) testing option.

佛羅里達現在已經有一些無人駕駛的測試計劃，像是Ford 的Miami campaign。但
這有可能會鼓勵其他想要利用這種便利的氣氛和寬鬆法規的人。現在很少有州允

The question is whether or not the technology is ready. Although self-driving
car crashes are still relatively rare, there are concerns that Uber's fatal
crash and other incidents are signs that autonomous driving still has a ways
to go before it's truly safe for public testing.

問題是這技術是否準備就緒。雖然自動駕駛車車禍仍然相當罕見，但Uber 的致命
