Commitment雖然在中文裡常見的翻譯為「承諾」，但是翻譯不只是要看表面。gaining a commitment from customer就字面上的意思來說為「得到客戶的承諾」，不過以銷售的觀點來看，這表示客戶被說服了而達成交易，這背後沒有明說的就是取得了客戶的信賴感，這才是關鍵所在。因此比起「得到客戶的承諾」，在贏得客戶信賴感的瞬間「建立信賴感」才是重點。我個人認為，翻譯可以不必太過拘泥在字面上。

再者，行銷術多半都愛「賣關子」，如果不在文中直接點破，也用「賣關子」的方式翻譯，版主可以參考下列的翻譯版本:

按部就班，依序進行，每個步驟會一一提高贏得承諾成功銷售的可能性。
