新車頭燈太刺眼 害15%的駕駛人差點車禍 - 開車

根據英國RAC的研究，由於新式車頭燈太亮、太刺眼了，

有15%的駕駛人差點因此出車禍。

due after being dazzled by the lights of another car


◇ 有65%的駕駛人常被新式頭燈刺瞎

LED頭燈以及氙氣頭燈會照射出如同日光般明亮的光線，

但卻把路上其他駕駛人給刺瞎了，即使車子並沒有開遠光燈也會。

英國RAC研究，65%的駕駛人常常會被刺眼的車頭燈光線短暫刺瞎五秒鐘，

在時速96公里時，五秒鐘等於是瞎眼開車134公尺。

其中有些人甚至會被車頭燈刺瞎10秒鐘，等於是瞎眼開車268公尺。

另外，

SUV休旅車的頭燈位置較高，會直接照射前方車輛的後照鏡和後擋風玻璃，

也會造成安全問題。

(因為前車駕駛人的眼睛被後面的SUV大燈刺到了)

New cars are fitted with hi-tech LED and xenon lamps that produce
"daylight-like" rays rather than the yellowy halogens on older models.

And while it improves visibility for drivers, other motorists are left dazzled
- even when the lights are not on full beam.

The RAC found 65 per cent of Brits are regularly left blinded by lights for
five seconds - and at 60mph on country lanes this could see you drive
134-metres. That's more than the length of a football pitch.

Some drivers reported the effect even lasted for 10 seconds - good enough
for almost 300 metres.

The SUV boom is also a problem with the high-riding lights shining directly
into windscreens and rear-view mirrors.


對此，聯合國世界論壇的車輛規範工作小組正在研究新的頭燈安全提案，

以改善頭燈刺眼的問題。

The UN’s Working Party on Lighting and Light-Signalling (GRE),
which prepares regulatory proposals on active safety, specifically regarding
vehicle lighting and light-signalling, is currently looking at the issue of
headlight glare in response to public concerns.

現在新式車頭燈太刺眼了，開車請開近光燈，以免照瞎別人，危害行車安全。

其實馬路上都有路燈，並不需要開遠光燈閃瞎別人。

除非在荒郊野外，少數沒有路燈的路段，才需開遠光燈。
