1. Tesla將停止生產90kWh的電池包
Tesla已經向Electrek證實了在6/8後將無法再訂購90型號的車輛
這將會使得Tesla的電池選項精減到只剩下75與100可以選擇。
之前Tesla刪除其60電池選項時,就在猜是不是90電池包也活不久了?
現在看來果然是如此
以後Model S 大概只剩下 75 75D 100D P100D可以選擇
會不會出現100? 就不得而知了
而Model X就只剩下75D 100D P100D可選
這樣的做法可能是為了Model 3騰出產線空間
也有可能是在為了更大型號的電池包做準備??
畢竟新的2070電池還沒用到Model S/X上,若用了新電池,電池包容量應該有成長的空間
2. Elon Musk說他要到工廠生產線去做工人受傷時所做的工作
Tesla在Fremont的工廠之前因為疑似有著比平均更高的傷病率而受到汽車工人工會批評
這件事情是個羅生門
汽車工人工會說Tesla的傷病率比平均要高
但Tesla卻也拿出資料回擊,說他們2017的TRIR(total recordable incident rate)
只有4.6,比平均的6.7要好上不少
雖然以前比業界平均高,但現在已經改善到是業界最好
這件事情吵個沒完,於是Musk親自去鼓勵工人報告他們的傷勢,以便解決事故原因
(工人有時會隱瞞傷勢,大致上是因為受傷按規定就不能加班賺錢,這會減少收入)
然後又寫了一封信給員工:

“No words can express how much I care about your safety and wellbeing.
It breaks my heart when someone is injured building cars and trying their
best to make Tesla successful.
Going forward, I’ve asked that every injury be reported directly to me,
without exception. I’m meeting with the safety team every week and would
like to meet every injured person as soon as they are well, so that I can
understand from them exactly what we need to do to make it better. I will
then go down to the production line and perform the same task that they
perform.
This is what all managers at Tesla should do as a matter of course. At
Tesla, we lead from the front line, not from some safe and comfortable
ivory tower. Managers must always put their team’s safety above their
own.”

要求一但有人受傷都要直接向他報告,他想盡快見到每一個受傷的工人
直接從這些受傷的工人之中知道有什麼地方是需要改善的
然後Musk要自己去生產線做同樣的工作,親自體驗才知道哪裡需要改進
雖然可能會有人覺得一個CEO親自上生產線去工作是在作秀
但不要忘記Musk是個工作狂,他向來都是站到第一線去工作
他收購了德國Grohmann Engineering後也曾經寫一封信去強調類似的事情:
"I am convinced that managers should work at the forefront, in the same
work environment as the entire team."
(我相信管理者應該在與整個團隊相同的工作環境下在最前線工作)
其實不只Musk會這樣做,很多公司的創立者都會做相同的事情,到第一線去實際工作
了解狀況。
不過常常當公司交給第二代或是專業經理人管理後,這種事情就不會再發生了
