Mclaren自Abu Dhabi以來一直在評估，最終得到結論：Perez永遠追不上button（Perez
has a speed deficit to Button that he will probably never be able to bridge.)
並從Magnussen的模擬器成績斷定他「已經比Perez快」。而且丹麥人青測表現優秀，車
隊認為他很有潛力。

Perez可能去Force India

將Magnussen跟Mclaren的另一個青年車手Stoffel Vandoorne作比較。
後者因經驗不足落選，明年Mclaren會在GP2中幫他找個席位積累經驗。
M.Whitmarsh認為有一天Vandoorne會成為Mclaren車手。
