Volvo XC60 Recalled Due to Windshield Wiper Concerns
A loose nut on the wiper arms could impair performance
Volvo has announced a recall on 2018 to 2020 XC60 SUVs to tighten a nut on
the windshield wiper arms. The incorrect torque specification may have been
used during assembly, allowing the nuts to loosen and thereby reduce the
effectiveness of the wipers. The reduced vision during inclement weather may
increase the risk of a crash.
Drivers may note an unusual noise if a nut loosens and the wiper arm contacts
the hood. As the condition worsens, the wiping function may be reduced or
cease altogether.
The fix is a rather easy one: Dealerships will simply tighten the nut.
The recall involves 87,226 SUVs in the U.S. XC60 owners will be notified by
